Ed Sloan

THE WAR, THE SURRENDER AND THE Return

Ed Sloan has sold over 2 million records, written three #1 Rock Radio singles and toured the world with his band Crossfade. In fact, Crossfade’s debut single COLD is one of the most played and longest charting hits in the history of Active Rock Radio. Three singles also hit the Top 20 at Alternative Radio- where Cold peaked at #2.

After five years away from music Sloan has returned with his new single, Surrender, which will be available on all download and streaming sites Nov 10th.

When asked to explain the meaning behind the deeply moving 'Surrender' Sloan is reluctant to answer.

“I learned early on that letting the listener make up their own was more important than telling them what they should mean…. or at least that is what I prefer to do. A song can often mean what people need it to mean at that point in their life and I don’t want to prevent that from happening by telling them what the song is SUPPOSED to mean for them. I prefer to let everyone make up their own mind.”

Sloan is planning on releasing many more singles as he finishes writing and recording his debut solo record. Some recording is being done in Columbia at Ed’s studio and some at 537 Studios in Atlanta with Les Hall.

“I am really excited to get some new songs out there and see what people think of them and see if I can make a few new fans while I am at it. This is very different from Crossfade musically- but I think you will hear a lot of the same spirit lyrically in these songs as the ones you already know."

Ps. As some of you may know I have never been a huge fan of social media and putting pictures and comments every day of things that I think would interest you. I am a deeply private person but I have always felt that all the people who like my music are my family too. I don’t think I can express to you what you have meant to me over the years. Your love for Crossfade's music got me through a lot in my life and I am forever grateful for that. You have been there for me through everything and I want you to know that I am here for you too. I don’t know if there is going to be any touring in the near future- but once there is I sure hope you all can make it down so I can tell you that in person.

See you soon.
